Hello! Lead up to Christmas is always quiet, not much to report. I filmed a conference with Nicest Productions not too long ago in difficult conditions. Other than that, just been concentrating on my other business venture and improving my own skills to provide more services.

So thanks for reading and looking forward to the new season of productions later next year!

March

Hello there!

So this month had its up, and then unfortunately quite a major down. So this month I have been working with Ed Shepherd Photography to produce videos and we make quite the editing and shooting team, looking forward to more work with him.

However, I was taken onto my first feature film as the main editor, "The Journey of the Louisiana", then sadly, it was taken by someone else who they'd already worked with in the past, and whom I have known since college. Quite melancholy in genera...

August

Hello there!

So this month I've been working on Cotswold Claptons edit. I've been waiting for feedback before I continue Wychwoods edit too. For the most part this has been one of those months where I just apply for work while working on a time consuming project, its getting there, but its a long edit as I'm doing my best to make sure there's no moments that aren't visually perfect in the edit. Also waiting for the audio to come back too. Otherwise not much is going on to be honest, I'm on hol...

Hello,

Well this month I've been almost entirely focused on the Ministry of Sound work I am doing. However, I have also edited a promo for Wychwood festival and will continue to do so in August alongside Cotswold Claptons work. I am currently typing this at The Ministry of Sound while I have some free time! I'm working on some videos to promote what the Ministry considers to be the top 25 albums. Exciting stuff, I've also edited a video about a party in a glacier, some promo stuff for a Swedi...

March

Hello,

Wow, this has been a busy month for us. But an enjoyable one, I much prefer being busy!
So, I'll keep it short and simple. I've edited and published a number of videos this month, seen below:

Quite a mixture of edits above from 4k 300fps footage to festival footage. I've also been filming for a drama, which involved a 12 hour shoot, very exhausting but we all felt the effort was worth it. Some photos can be seen on the links below: https://www.facebook.com/HeatsProductions/posts/92735...

Hello, a lot of my videos have gone live from over the last year (with many others still waiting for the go ahead) and are now all over the place on youtube which is pretty amazing that people value my work that much. Although some did do it without permission we've mutually worked around that rather than not allowing the band that did it to get more exposure with our footage seen here:

Got some footage floating around that I shot with Explain the Market too and with TurfTV.
Next I am doing 3...

October

Hello

I have settled into my University now. And unexpectedly I received a long list of new clients, which it is becoming rather hard to fit in all the work I am doing, but I like to be busy! Most of the interviews I've done at Windsor are done and handed over too. But otherwise the only developments involve my University work, here's a picture of the studio I get to use there! (I am even allowed to use it for client work which is pretty cool!) https://scontent-a-lhr.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xfa1/...

July

Hello there,

This month is rather exciting, so long as everything goes to plan we'll be filming a commercial for an American brand on the 12, 13th, 19th or 20th. Depending on availability of equipment, actors etc that will be put on select American TV channels

Its an exciting opportunity for which we're looking for a Production Assistant and of course an actor, who is happy to endorse said product. We'll be producing a minute and a 30 second advert in 300fps using a Red Epic camera. Along with ...

What equipment should I use for my shoot?

Posted by Liam Taylor on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, In : 2014 Blog Posts
That's a great question I recently answered. There is no right way to go about this, however you of course always need the basics. What we're using on our Video Production shoots lately which have been around Cirencester are:

A canon 650D (two if its a live event for example)

Tripod or two (a weifeng 100 is what we're using, but Manfrotto is also a good brand)

Shotgun mic or better yet if possible a clip on mic. Clip on's have the best audio quality for interviews, but sometimes a shotgun mic qu...

May

Hello, I have been working on editing footage from UPS systems and will be exhibiting at Isambard house in Swindon from the 21st of May until the 28th, otherwise there isn't much to say about this month, except some personal circumstances, where I will be finishing my HND course this month and then moving onto Television Production at the University of Gloucester in September.
So this month is mostly dedicated to a bit of advertising, which will hopefully result in some more local work!

Thanks...

February

Hello,

It seems the director most of those plays I mentioned last month, Chris Sivewright from ART (almost random theater) http://www.almostrandomtheatre.co.uk/ was happy with the last videos so now we have continued on to produce more videos. We recently used a village hall in Ampney Crucis as a studio space, its cost effective, easy to clean up and has a lot of natural light should it have been needed so was a perfect location for some interviews.

We will soon be working for the Swindon Counc...

April Update

Posted by Liam Taylor on Monday, April 1, 2013, In : 2013 Blog Posts
Hello, been quite busy recently! Had a graphical project with the BBC for T.V licensing, made a "How To" video about making a effective affordable camera slider
And had quite a bit of promotion with various outlets. We've also got some more really interesting videos to post soon from a local Magician which were filmed in coordination with Swindon College and Rubeun42Production. Keep an eye out for those! We are hoping to make a lot more with this individual from Magic Masters (also known as ...

Helping Hand

Posted by Liam Taylor on Wednesday, February 13, 2013, In : 2013 Blog Posts
Hello, a project we've been planning for some time will soon be ready. Basically, we're giving back to the public by allowing you to submit a form for a free video. Not everyone will apply, but everyone can apply. We will contact you with other options if your planned video doesn't fit the category. We're hoping this project will get a lot of publicity as we want to give back as much as we can.
Another one of our projects may also come to the next stage soon, this one we're particularly excit...
