Hello there!

So this month I've just flat out been working with Ed Sheperd and been getting a ton of work from him as well as working for him, its been great and really busy for me and has provided all the work I've needed as of late!

I've been going around English Heritage sites filming with him as well as a few other sites too. We've done a lot of drone filming basically and one conference too for the Royal Agricultural college in Cirencester.

Next up I'm planning to do some promotion of my ...

Hello there!

So this month I edited the barn theatre in Cirencester's 'The Little Shop of Horrors' theatre show. I filmed two nights of the show and had to edit about 3 hours of footage together onto one DVD, compressing it onto one DVD was quite painful to say the least, as the quality goes down horribly, but ultimately what the client wants, the client gets! So I made it work as best I could. At first when testing the DVD I found the bass was too powerful so had to redo the audio to compensa...

Hello there!

So this month I finished my 10 minute documentary version and its not available for public viewing unfortunately, however if you really want to see it let me know and I'll forward you a link privately. I also picked up some work for June and am writing this while I wait for a new Cirencester based theatre to start their new show "The Little Shop of Horrors", which I am filming and capturing audio for. I will then be making DVD's once edited from them so that's exciting and is enou...

Hello there,

So this month I concentrated on developing my ident and showreel which I think both came out great!
I also have start doing regular work for a new threatre in Cirencester called the Barn Threatre which is great.

In the new year I have a meeting with a potential client too, which may involve filming villas in Spain is one example this person gave! So that'd be great if I manage to get that and I look forward to potentially doing it!

Linked is my ident: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...

Hello there!

So this month I've been working on Cotswold Claptons edit. I've been waiting for feedback before I continue Wychwoods edit too. For the most part this has been one of those months where I just apply for work while working on a time consuming project, its getting there, but its a long edit as I'm doing my best to make sure there's no moments that aren't visually perfect in the edit. Also waiting for the audio to come back too. Otherwise not much is going on to be honest, I'm on hol...

Hello, so this month I have been working freelance for CommunicateTV again, and continue to do so, I enjoy the work and have been working for the likes of Bristol Council and many more clients through them. I will have some of my own projects coming up soon too, I will be making a documentary about a national monument with exclusive access, I can't wait! I've also got more work with Turf TV and a client I worked for not too long ago again too. I almost had a music video booked in too, we plan...

February

Hello,

This month I have been quite busy editing more of The Phoenix Festival footage while also doing some corrections to sound in post production for an old client. Basically too much background noise at a trade show and I've edited out all I could for them, but I found in overlaying the original sound with less DB's it boasts the sound of the edited version making the audio much clearer.

Here are two playlists of videos I've edited for The Phoenix Festival which takes place in Cirencester a...

November

Posted by Liam Taylor on Friday, November 7, 2014, In : 2014 Blog Posts
Hello, a lot of my videos have gone live from over the last year (with many others still waiting for the go ahead) and are now all over the place on youtube which is pretty amazing that people value my work that much. Although some did do it without permission we've mutually worked around that rather than not allowing the band that did it to get more exposure with our footage seen here:

Got some footage floating around that I shot with Explain the Market too and with TurfTV.
Next I am doing 3...

September

Hello, I am soon to begin University studying Television Production. Still trying to sort out finances as I'm having to pay for it myself but I'm getting there.

Anyways, this month we filmed the phoenix festival again, we're in progress with editing bits of that and we're just finishing up with our 4k advert that will be shown around sports stores nationwide sooner or later (we're told October or November most likely)

Here's a preview of what we've been working on, but the client is going to tu...

What equipment should I use for my shoot?

Posted by Liam Taylor on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, In : 2014 Blog Posts
That's a great question I recently answered. There is no right way to go about this, however you of course always need the basics. What we're using on our Video Production shoots lately which have been around Cirencester are:

A canon 650D (two if its a live event for example)

Tripod or two (a weifeng 100 is what we're using, but Manfrotto is also a good brand)

Shotgun mic or better yet if possible a clip on mic. Clip on's have the best audio quality for interviews, but sometimes a shotgun mic qu...

May

Hello, I have been working on editing footage from UPS systems and will be exhibiting at Isambard house in Swindon from the 21st of May until the 28th, otherwise there isn't much to say about this month, except some personal circumstances, where I will be finishing my HND course this month and then moving onto Television Production at the University of Gloucester in September.
So this month is mostly dedicated to a bit of advertising, which will hopefully result in some more local work!

Thanks...

Clients, Kickstarter

Posted by Liam Taylor on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, In : 2013 Blog Posts
Hello, this is just a quick update to say that we've updated our home page and testimonials page with clients we have previously worked with, at the moment we're listing: Elizabeth Hurley, Shane Warne, Cirencester Deer Park School, Wootton Bassett Rocks, Isle Of Wight Zoo, The Vooz and The National Lottery Heritage Fund

We're also seeing if we can acquire funding for an interesting idea that only requires some props, a website, a domain, maybe materials for a screening and we'll possibly havin...

Swindon College and The vooz

Posted by Liam Taylor on Thursday, September 13, 2012, In : 2012 Blog Posts
Hello
I am now attending Swindon College doing a HND in Interactive Media. The course so far seems quite well built with friendly staff and students who seem to be similar to myself. However the traveling is quite a chore since I am from Cirencester and its very exhausting but for a HND and the skills I'll be able to bring to this business and else where in my own life is definetly worth it. They never said it would be easy

I will soon be directing and producing a music video for the vooz's son...

Hello, It seems we have people stealing our content already. We take this as a compliment as the only reason you would steal content or ideas without asking for permission is because of its high quality or creativity.
In anycase we now also have someone else writing the odd film review or two for us, so keep an eye out when we launch that part of the website very shortly! Keep up to date with our forum where we have and will continue to post helpful tips to all the aspiring videographers and p...
